PENANG SAFE CITY PROJECT

Penang City Council and Seberang Perai City Council have been working with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) to make Penang a safe city in Malaysia.

For this project, a wireless CCTV system was proposed to monitor hotspot areas for misbehavior, flooded areas and traffic congestion. In 2013, 80 cameras were installed on Penang Island.
